We observed unsafe moving and handling practices at the service during our inspection which we referred to the local authority safeguarding team.
Staff were positive about working at the service. A staff member said, “It is excellent, I am doing my level 3 here.”
Feedback from relatives, staff and professionals was mixed about the staffing levels. Staff told us they felt there were enough staff during the day but not at night.
Not all staff training was up to date, but the provider had begun to address this prior to our inspection.
There had not been a registered manager at the service since May 2024, although the provider was actively trying to recruit a manager at the time of our inspection.
A relative told us, “The entertainment side is good and the lady that runs it is excellent.”
