PlainSight lets care home staff share honest, anonymous reviews of their workplaces. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

What we collect

When you message us on WhatsApp, we collect:

  • Your phone number – so we can talk to you
  • Your name – if you share it
  • Your workplace – the care home you're reviewing
  • Your role – e.g. carer, nurse, manager
  • Our conversation – everything you tell us about your experience

How we use your information

Publish your review – We use AI to remove anything that could identify you (names, dates, specific incidents), then publish the anonymised version on our site.

Contact you about jobs – We may message you about relevant job opportunities.

Check in with you – We may follow up to see how things are going or ask if you'd like to update your review.

Improve PlainSight – We analyse conversations to make our service better.

What gets published vs what stays private

Published (visible to everyone):Anonymised review text, care home name, general role type, overall rating.
Private (only we see this):Your phone number, your name, raw conversation, specific dates/incidents.

We never publish anything that could identify you personally.

Your choices

By using PlainSight, you agree to:

  • Publish my anonymised review – we'll publish your feedback with all identifying details removed
  • Contact me about job opportunities – we may message you about relevant roles
  • Send me occasional check-ins – we may follow up to see how things are going

You can opt out of job opportunities or check-ins at any time by messaging us "SETTINGS" or emailing [email protected].

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • See your data – we'll send you everything we hold
  • Delete your data – we'll remove your information (published reviews stay up but remain fully anonymous)
  • Stop contacting you – message "STOP" anytime
  • Withdraw consent – we'll stop processing and delete your data

How long we keep your data

Contact details: Until you ask us to delete them, or 2 years after your last interaction.

Conversations: Until you ask us to delete them, or 2 years after your last interaction.

Published reviews: Kept indefinitely (but these contain no personal data).

Who else sees your data

  • Meta (WhatsApp) – messages pass through their platform
  • Supabase – stores our database
  • OpenAI – processes conversations for anonymisation

We don't sell your data to anyone.

How we protect your information

  • Your phone number is stored separately from published reviews
  • All data is encrypted
  • Only 1 person at PlainSight can access identifiable information

Changes to this policy

We'll message you on WhatsApp if we make significant changes.
