Managers are not properly reviewing incidents or reporting safeguarding alerts to the regulator, so people might not be kept safe from harm.

The provider had failed to inform us of a potential safeguarding incident involving two people living at the home.

Some staff do not feel confident raising concerns with the manager, and there are no regular staff meetings or supervisions because there is no deputy.

Some staff lacked confidence bringing concerns about people's care to the attention of the registered manager. Staff had not had the opportunity to attend regular formal supervision meetings with the registered manager.

Some staff feel undervalued by senior managers, and without regular meetings issues build up and get bottled up.

Three members of staff told us they did not feel valued by the provider, stating they rarely saw senior management at the service... 'Without staff meetings, things get bottled up and they build up.'
