Working at Woodland Grove

The service had a strong emphasis on team work and communication sharing. Staff commented that they all worked together and approached concerns as a team.

There were enough skilled and experienced staff... staff vacancies were covered with permanent staff completing extra shifts, the provider's bank staff or agency staff.

The training plan demonstrated that all staff attended training essential to understanding and meeting the needs of people with autism and epilepsy. Staff had regular supervision meetings and a planned annual appraisal.

Staff told us that they found the registered manager approachable and supportive and that they felt confident to speak out or raise any issues they had.

Each person had an individual timetable of activities and were supported to participate in a range of activities that they enjoyed such as swimming, climbing, walking, doing jigsaws and attending day services.
