Staff demonstrated a good awareness of safeguarding procedures... Risks to people continued to be assessed and were managed safely. People continued to receive their medicines safely.

Staff were a good team, who communicated well with each other. One staff member said, 'You have a lot of people around you who support you... Everyone's very friendly.'

People told us there were enough staff. Staff felt there were sufficient staff on duty. Suitable arrangements were in place to cover last minute staff sickness.

Staff received enough training and support. As well as mandatory training, some staff had received further training such as dementia. Staff had regular supervisions.

The registered manager had clear oversight of the service and supported an effective staff team, who communicated well. The registered manager was approachable and available to people and staff.

[Activities coordinator] is very good; there are regular musicians... Activities ranged from board games, quizzes, lunch events, arts and crafts... Regular visiting entertainment included music, local school children visiting to sing, and Shetland ponies. Weekly trips out.
