Medicines were not managed safely. We identified concerns relating to administration records, following ‘As and when required’ medicine protocols, stock balances, safe storage and record keeping.
We received mixed feedback from staff; some staff told us they felt well supported whilst other staff told us they did not feel supported, and they did not receive regular supervisions.
Safe and effective staffing Score:1. Staff rotas we reviewed showed staffing levels were often below those stated in the dependency tool and saw this during our site visit.
Staff had received mandatory training, and most staff told us they felt the training they received was sufficient to their role. Supervisions were not completed in accordance with the services policy.
Governance, management and sustainability Score:1. The provider did not have clear responsibilities, roles, systems of accountability and good governance.
Activities were not currently planned, advertised within the service or completed with people individually who chose not to spend time in communal areas.
