We saw there were sufficient staff to promptly and safely support people when they needed it. One staff member said, 'We are a good team and have enough staff now.'

Leaders were visible, knowledgeable and supportive, helping staff develop in their roles. Staff felt supported to give feedback and were treated equally.
People engaged in crafts, seasonal activities, local church choir visited regularly, films and afternoon snacks, one person wrote poems for the newsletter.
Staff sometimes ran out of medicines or missed doses because of poor stock checks and monitoring.
One person ran out of their medicine, and it was not administered for 4 days. Staff had sent an email to the pharmacy to chase this medicine, but this was not sent until 3 days later. No stock of one person’s medicine.
Staffing is adequate with enough on shifts, but nothing special like low turnover or no agency use.
