The provider had a proactive and positive culture of safety... Staff told us the culture within the service had changed and they were confident to report incidents or concerns.

Staff told us, they were now confident to raise concerns, and these would be dealt with in an open and transparent way. Staff were positive about working at the service.

There had been a reduction in the number of people living at the service and staffing had been reduced. However, the registered manager had retained the structure, so staff understood their role within the team.

Staff had received training and supervision to make sure they had skills needed to support people. Staff told us they had received additional training to understand their responsibilities.

There had been changes in the management of the service, there was a new registered and deputy manager in post. They had been effective in improving the culture within the service.

The activities organisers understood what people liked to do... gardening club and crafts. The service welcomed local groups including church groups and therapy dogs.
