Working at Vane Hill

People were supported to take risks to retain their independence whilst any known hazards were minimised to prevent harm. Staff had a good understanding of how to keep people safe and their responsibilities for reporting accidents, incidents or concerns.

There was an exceptionally positive culture within the service. Staff felt very supported and valued.

People told us they felt there was always enough competent staff on duty to meet their needs and keep them safe. A close, consistent staff team supported people. One person said, 'Never short staffed for what we need.'

I am currently in the introductory stages of my VCQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care. The course has been organised and funded by the company.

The registered manager regularly worked alongside all staff and people so they were in touch with the culture at the service.

Partnership working with schools, charities and the local community was extraordinary. People engaged in volunteer and paid work, talks at colleges and school, holidays and unique outings.
