Working at Tudor House

People were safeguarded from the risks of abuse... medicines were managed safely... Risks to people were assessed and minimised appropriately... Systems were in place to reduce the risks of infection.

One member of staff told us, 'I don't think the home could do anything differently to improve.' Another member of staff said, 'I love it here. I've never worked in care before but I love it.'

Staff were trained in various areas, some of which was provided in addition to their mandatory training... courses attended included, 'Alive', engagement with dementia 'lighting up later life'. Staff received regular supervision sessions and an annual appraisal.

Staff felt very supported by the management team. A member of staff told us, 'We are definitely given a lot of sufficient support from management and are able to discuss problems or concerns.'

External experts were sourced... creative art based activities... Magic the dog... vintage ice cream van... music therapy.
