Staffing is adequate but with occasional weekend shortages from sickness and some agency use, plus deployment issues at busy times.

Relatives' feedback highlighted that family members had observed occasions when they felt the service was short staffed... staffing shortages had been more often noticed at weekends when they had been told staff had called in sick.

Only standard training and induction in place, but some staff lack confidence handling complex dementia needs and need more coaching.

Whilst it was evident that the management team had heavily promoted training over recent months, the next step was the coaching of staff... confidence and skill in managing complex needs was variable across the staff team.
