The provider had systems and processes in place to ensure the safe management and administration of people’s medicines. [...] We found some concerns in relation to storage of certain medication; this was raised with the registered manager who took prompt action.
Staff we spoke with were passionate about promoting a positive culture that was person centred, open, inclusive, and empowering.
Staff rotas confirmed there were enough staff to support people safely. The majority of staff told us there was enough staff on shift.
Staff had completed key training such as on learning disabilities and first aid to perform their roles effectively. The registered manager told us staff have completed training required for their role.
Staff spoke positively about the management team. One staff member said, “The [registered] manager is supportive and if I have any issues, I either speak to the senior on shift or the [registered] manager.”
Everyone living at the home had an activity plan in place which included activities meaningful to them. One person told us, “I enjoy swimming on Thursday and like to spend time in my room playing with Lego or listening to music.”
