Managers unaware of key best practice guidance for people with learning disabilities and autism, so governance and oversight have serious gaps.

The management team were unaware of this [Right support, right care, right culture] guidance and people did not always receive care and support in accordance with its principles.

Most staff lack specialist training for supporting people with learning disabilities, with only a few managers having done the course.

Staff had not received training in supporting people with a learning disability in line with guidance although records showed only 3 members of the management team had completed this.

Few evening activities or outings mean shifts can feel routine with people mostly in rooms early.

There were few opportunities available regarding how people spent their time in the evenings with the majority of people retiring to their rooms before 7pm.
