Safety checks missed risks like loose heavy furniture, exposed hot pipes that could burn people, broken call bells, and unlocked cabinets holding medicines in rooms.

large items of furniture were not secured to walls... hot pipes were exposed... One person’s call bell did not work... cabinets they were stored in were unlocked and the keys placed on top of the cabinet.

Staffing is adequate but people sometimes wait a while for help after ringing the bell, so the workload can feel stretched at times.

some people told us they sometimes had to wait a while when they called for assistance. Staff told us they supported each other and worked well as a team.

Only standard training like safeguarding and medicines, no specialist courses or funded qualifications mentioned.

Staff completed both online and face to face training... Staff received training in safeguarding... medicines management, administration and had their competency assessed. Not all staff had received end of life training.
