Staff understood safeguarding... confident concerns addressed. Medicines safely managed with minor oversight rectified. Incidents monitored for trends.

Staff spoke positively of the staff team morale... All the staff we asked told us they would be happy for a friend or relative to be cared for at the service.

There were sufficient staff on duty to meet people's needs. Staff told us there were sufficient staff to meet people's needs.

Staff received a continuous training programme... Induction included attaining the Care Certificate. Staff received regular supervision but annual appraisals not completed with some staff.

Relatives commented that the registered manager was always available... '[Registered manager's name] is very approachable and listens to any little niggles.' Staff said, '[Registered manager's name] is excellent to work for...'

Dedicated activity co-ordinator... activities included baking, quiz, themed events like Valentine's Day, one-to-one support, scrap books.
