During the inspection we identified some medicine administration records (MAR) supplied by the pharmacy did not have the current prescription information. Staff in The Coach House had not always signed to confirm they had administered people's medicines.
Staff were also supported to give their views through regular team meetings and through regular supervision. Staff received regular supervision from senior members of their team.
There were enough staff employed to ensure people's needs were met. A dependency tool was used to assess the levels of staff required each month.
Staff training records showed some staff had not completed their training. Staff told us, and the rotas confirmed that trained staff supervised untrained staff.
The provider implemented immediate changes during the inspection where we identified issues with recruitment, medicines and training. The provider had a comprehensive oversight of the service and were continually updating and introducing systems, practices and policies in line with current best practice.
The psychology team held weekly activity and exercise sessions in small groups to help people improve their concentration, memory and social interaction. Staff supported people daily to take part in games and activities to help improve their well-being and social interactions.
Some staff haven't finished their mandatory training yet, even though trained staff supervise them.

Staff made mistakes recording medicines like not signing sheets or mismatched protocols, though people got their meds safely.
Staff in The Coach House had not always signed to confirm they had administered people's medicines, in line with the provider's policy. Protocols were in place for people who were prescribed medicines 'as and when required'. However, 1 of the protocols did not match the prescription.
Some staff files are missing full references from past employers because they came from agency work.
Not all staff files contained suitable references from previous employers, however, these employees were known to the service as they had worked as agency staff at the home.
