The provider was not working in line with the principles of the MCA. There had been a delay in applying for further DoLS authorisations 5 people after their previous DoLS authorisations had expired. This was a breach of regulation 13.
Staff took pride in their roles and told us they enjoyed their job. One staff member said, 'The residents are what bring me joy, talking to them and listening to their stories.'
Since the last inspection, improvements had been made to ensure there were enough staff to meet people's needs. The manager used a dependency tool to calculate how many staff members were needed on each shift. We observed people's needs were met in a timely manner.
