"Helpful managers who support staff and residents, a flexible positive culture, and strong safety practices, although recent staffing concerns prompted the inspection."
Lessons were learnt to continually identify and embed good practice. Incidents were recorded, and discussed with people, their relatives and social care professionals to prevent a reoccurrence.
A number of staff spoke highly of the flexibility they were offered to support a work life balance. “The registered manager has been very understanding of my family circumstances and always asks how I am.”
We observed sufficient staff on duty to support people without rushing, and we noted call bells were responded to in a timely manner. A member of staff told us, “I have never worked short staffed.”
“They are the first to help when we are short staffed due to sickness. I have never worked with a manager that would do that for their team” and “The registered manager has really improved the home. They always have time to listen to the residents, their families and staff alike.”
Staffing is sufficient day to day without rushing but the inspection was prompted by recent concerns about staffing levels.
This inspection was prompted by concerns about the safety of people’s care and staffing. Following this inspection, we were assured there was enough staff to support people safely and the provider had processes in place to protect people from avoidable harm.
