Accidents and incidents were recorded in detail, and these were investigated by the manager to prevent or minimise them from happening again. Medicines were well managed on people’s behalf.

Staff told us they felt supported by the manager. One staff member said, “I receive regular supervision and able to speak to the manager at any time if I need advice or direction. I feel really supported in developing my skills.”

There were enough staff to meet people’s needs and to provide personalised care and support. The home used 2 dedicated agencies to provide staff for emergency cover.

Staff received appropriate training, support and development which enabled them to meet people’s needs effectively. The provider had a training programme in place for all staff to complete whilst they were employed.

Staff told us the management team were always very helpful and they felt supported. One staff member said, “Having a supportive management team, helps and motivates me to give the best that I can to support people with their care.”
