Working at The Limes Residential Home

There was a robust process in place to monitor incidents, accidents and near misses... Audits for all incidents and accidents that had occurred, were completed... written reflective accounts were completed by staff.

A staff member told us, 'I love working here, it's all about the residents and what they want. It's so person centred.' Another staff member said, 'Everyone is like one big family.'

The provider had also provided staff with support to obtain additional vocational qualifications... Staff received one to one supervision in a variety of formats, including team meetings, observational supervisions and one to one meetings.

The directors and registered manager had a 'hands-on' approach to their involvement in the service and worked closely with people, staff and stakeholders... directors being members of the care staff team and regularly working alongside care staff providing personal care.

There were three activity coordinators working at the service and activities organised seven days a week... Activities included; exercises, bingo, reminiscence, baking, gardening and crafts... 'Bembridge men in sheds' who come in and are working with some of the residents.
