"Staff received good training and felt supported in a positive culture, but medicines were sometimes missed or late with weak management oversight."
There were gaps identified on the MAR charts. Not all people using the service had received their prescribed medicines in line with the prescriber's instructions. Records showed that people did not always receive their medication on time.
People and relatives spoke positively about the culture and management of the service. A relative told us, 'The atmosphere is good.' Staff told us, 'The manager is very supportive and I have regular supervision.'
The service had enough staff, including for one-to-one support for people to take part in activities and visits how and when they wanted. The numbers and skills of staff matched the needs of people using the service.
People were supported by staff who had received relevant and good quality training in evidence-based practice. This included training in the wide range of strengths and impairments people with a learning disability and/or autistic people may have, mental health needs, communication tools and positive behaviour support.
The provider had made improvements to their processes for monitoring the quality and safety of the service since the last inspection. However, these systems were still not robust and had not identified the concerns we found during the inspection. The registered manager did not have clear oversight of the safe management of people's medicines.
People were supported by staff to pursue their interests. Staff focused on people's strengths and promoted what they could do, so people had a fulfilling and meaningful everyday life.
Medicines were sometimes given late or missed, with gaps in records and missing guidance on when to give some doses.

Managers checks missed medicine errors and other problems, so they do not have full oversight.
A medication audit was completed however, this did not identify the shortfalls we found at this inspection. The registered manager did not have clear oversight of the safe management of people's medicines.
Only basic support for outings and interests mentioned, no special activities programme or creative approaches.
