Basic weekly activities like keep fit, art and games, but no dedicated coordinator or special programmes to make workdays more varied and fulfilling.

Per 2018 comprehensive inspection: There was a written activity programme in place which included a weekly keep fit class, an art class, music activities and games. The provider paid for entertainers to come in weekly to lead these activities.

Only standard induction, refresher and role-specific training, nothing extra like specialist courses or funded qualifications for career growth.

Care staff told us, and records confirmed that they had received an induction, training and completed a period of shadowing when they started working at The Hollies. Refresher training, updates and role specific training was on-going.

Staffing is adequate and safe but relies on some agency workers to cover vacancies.

Where agency staff were used to cover staff vacancies, appropriate checks had been obtained and recorded to assess and confirm that they were safe to work with vulnerable adults.
