Safeguarding incidents had been correctly reported, recorded and investigated; medicines administered safely with regular audits and actions on errors; accidents reviewed with lessons shared with staff.

There was a positive and open culture at the service. Staff consistently told us they felt supported in their roles and felt listened to.

The provider ensured there were sufficient numbers of suitable staff. The registered manager monitored and reviewed their dependency tool appropriately to ensure the staffing levels continued to reflect the needs of the people using the service.

Per 2018 comprehensive inspection: Staff were positive they received the training, information and support they needed; 'plenty of training; it's role relevant and supports my continued practice and professional development'.

Staff consistently told us they felt supported in their roles, and they attended regular meetings with the management team as a group and on an individual basis. Staff told us they contributed new ideas and felt listened to.

Per 2018 comprehensive inspection: Activities co-ordinator provides varied programme including baking, vocal coaching, intergenerational activities with schools and toddler group, community entertainers and bespoke one-to-one sessions.
