Improvements had been made to help keep people safe including risk assessments and infection control. Medicines stored safely but protocols for 'as and when required' medicines were not always detailed.

Staff said they were well supported, and the registered manager had brought about significant improvements. People and staff were involved in decision making.

People and staff told us there were enough staff at the home to provide support and care. Staffing levels had been reviewed and improved, particularly during the night shift, although these needed further review.

Staff training had been improved and there was evidence of an induction when new staff started. Staff were supported to complete a range of training. Regular supervisions and appraisal meetings were documented.

People told us the registered manager was very approachable and they could raise anything with them. Staff said they were well supported, and the registered manager had brought about significant improvements.

People told us a range of activities had been organised by the new manager including planting flowers, holding barbecues and plans for trips. One person supported to get food hygiene certificate for cooking.
