Staff were trained in safeguarding procedures... Medicines were managed in line with NICE guidance... There were daily staff meetings when any incidents... were discussed and the registered manager ensured lessons were learned.

It was clear staff morale was good and everyone was committed... Staff confirmed they felt supported by the management team. One staff member said, 'You can put your heart and soul into the job, people here are like my family.'

One staff member said, 'There are enough staff we work more on a one to one basis here.' The registered manager... ensured enough staff were on duty at all times.

Staff told us training was ongoing and they were supported to gain vocational qualifications in health and social care. The registered manager had access to... a wide-ranging training programme... staff had recently received training on basic life support.

Staff organised activities around seasonal events and people's preferences. For example, one person had been supported with gardening, another person went shopping... a local primary school visited to sing with people... gentle exercise takes place.
