We found some people’s pressure-relieving mattresses had not been set correctly, which potentially placed them at risk of harm. The provider took immediate action to check and correct them.
Staff said they supported one another well and said there was a good sense of teamwork at the service. Staff told us they were treated fairly and their individual rights respected. They said they felt valued for the work they did.
Staff turnover at the home was low and the manager said no agency staff had been used for some time as any gaps on the rota were covered by permanent staff working overtime. This meant people were supported by a consistent staff team.
Staff had access to the ongoing training, supervision and support they needed to carry out their roles effectively. Some staff had achieved National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs).
