Working at The Avenue Care Home

The previous manager stepped down and the new one has not finished registering yet.

At the time of our visit the registered manager had stepped down from their responsibilities as manager... A new manager had commenced employment and was in the process of applying to become registered.

Only standard induction and care certificate training with no specialist courses or funded qualifications.

Induction training was provided to staff when they first began working at the service. The 'care certificate' was used as part of the induction training.

Just basic activities like games, crafts, cooking, and trips out with no dedicated coordinator or innovative programmes.

There was a range of activities available such as exercise sessions, games and crafts and trips out of the home. People took part in cooking and food preparation.
