Cleaning records had lots of gaps and shortfalls were found during the recent infection control check, so safety processes had some issues.

Cleaning records showed a high number of gaps making it difficult to be assured that cleaning was being carried out as stated. An infection control audit carried out on 9 February 2021 also identified shortfalls in cleaning within the home.

Staffing is adequate but nothing special, with agency workers used sometimes.

If agency staff were used, the manager explained that they used the same agency in which they had confidence. Per 2018 comprehensive inspection.

Only standard training like mandatory courses and Care Certificate, no specialist development or funded qualifications.

Training was provided in some areas the service considered essential, these included fire safety, moving and assisting people, infection control and food hygiene. Other learning opportunities were provided either in response to staff requests or peoples needs. Per 2018 comprehensive inspection.
