The provider had a proactive and positive culture of safety, based on openness and honesty. Staff listened to concerns about safety and investigated and reported safety events. Lessons were learnt to continually identify and embed good practice.
Leaders and staff had a shared vision and culture based on listening, learning and trust. Staff understood their roles and responsibilities and felt supported in their role. A member of staff told us, “I feel really supported in my role.”
We observed a good staff presence during our visit and people did not have to wait long for assistance. Staffing levels were based on the needs and number of people who lived at the home and were kept under review.
Staff received regular training appropriate to their role and there were regular checks on their performance and knowledge to ensure they remained skilled and competent. All new staff received a period of induction which gave them the skills and knowledge and training to meet people’s needs.
Staff were positive about the manager who had been in post since May 2025. A member of staff said, “[Name of manager] is brilliant and is very approachable.”
