Staffing is adequate but COVID caused staff pressures that needed special fixes, and agency workers were used sometimes.

The provider told us they had measures in place to mitigate the risks associated with COVID-19 related staff pressures. We saw that a member of care staff from a care agency was present at the service.

Only basic activities like singing, quizzes, manicures and crafts with no coordinator or special programmes to make shifts more varied.

We observed people participating in a chair activities and singing session... people doing a quiz. Individuals who preferred to spent time in their bedrooms were offered a manicure... art and crafts objects. Per 2018 comprehensive inspection.

Training covers basics and some extras with regular supervision, but no specialist courses or funded qualifications for career growth.

Staff training records showed that staff had completed the required training identified by the provider and further courses were available to develop staff skills and knowledge. Per 2018 comprehensive inspection.
