Medicines were not always managed in a safe way. Medicines were not stored safely... We found 1 medicines administration record (MAR) was missing... Systems for preventing and controlling infection were not always followed. We found service did not have soap or hand towels in 2 toilets.
Staff relationships were not always cohesive... we were told by numerous staff members that there were unresolved issues within the team. They believed this impacted on the effectiveness of the team.
The provider ensured enough staff were deployed to keep people safe and meet their needs. Recent changes in people’s needs had resulted in increases in staff levels, during both the day and night.
Staff had a range of training relevant to their roles... Staff told us their induction and training were useful and helped them to understand their roles... encouraged to take up additional training for their personal development.
