Staff told us there was a culture of learning in the home and felt confident to speak up knowing any concerns would be thoroughly investigated and responded to. Staff demonstrated respect and kindliness to each other. One staff member told us, “We all support each other, it is very close knit."

Staff training was regularly refreshed to ensure they remained up to date with current best practice guidance. Staff had also received additional training from external healthcare professionals... The provider encouraged staff to complete further training and gain extra qualifications specific to their job role.
Staff described the registered manager as leading by example and working alongside them to ensure people received good standards of care.
People were offered opportunities to engage in organised activities to support their physical, emotional and social wellbeing. On the day of inspection we saw people spent time doing flower arranging, participating in a musical activity, reading the newspaper or spending time on arts and crafts.
