The provider upskilled their staff by supporting them to advance in their careers. For example, supporting care staff with their wish to train to become nurses. The provider also upskilled their senior team so they could provide in house training... Staff were well supported through regular supervision, reflective practice, and appraisal

The management team consisted of excellent leaders who, along with a strong staff team, had the skills to deliver exceptional support to people. Managers were clear about their roles and were passionate about the support and leadership offered to people

The home employed a Pastoral Care Lead whose primary training was as a Soul Midwife and they support people... utilising aromatherapy and sound therapy... People were encouraged to take part in a wide range of activities... spontaneous trips and activity... therapeutic activities like painting and drawing
