Staff we spoke with were able to describe signs of abuse and how they would report any concerns. Medicines were administered safely and as prescribed and accidents and incidents had been recorded with learning identified.
Staff spoke consistently about the service being a good place to work and gave positive feedback about the registered manager. Staff felt comfortable raising issues and were confident they would always be listened to.
People were supported by sufficient numbers of staff and during the inspection, we observed that staff were available to support people.
Staff had received training that was specific to the needs of the people who used the service. Staff told us that they were supported with training opportunities to develop their skills and received regular one to one meetings.
