Medicines were managed safely with regular systems of audit to identify and rectify medicines errors promptly. Risks to people's safety and wellbeing were well managed.

People and their relatives told us there were plenty of staff available from a stable staff team... Staffing levels were regularly assessed, and staffing levels increased when people's needs changed.

Staff had the skills... provided with a range of training... 'We have lots of training... good training to help you understand how best to help someone with dementia and good end of life training.' Staff had regular supervision.

The registered manager and provider shared a clear vision and very strong values. They led by example... Staff spoke with exceptional pride... 'Staff stay working here because of the manager. She is so professional and always listens to people...'

The service had a team of activity coordinators... wide range of activities... music therapy... links with local schools... nursery school visited weekly... community trips to museums, pubs, cinema.
