Medicines were managed safely by competent staff with regular audits. The registered manager analysed incidents, accidents and complaints to identify lessons learnt and shared them in staff meetings.

There is an activities coordinator who runs varied programmes including pub trips, art painting, gardening, shopping, library trips, live entertainment and community outings based on residents' wishes.
New managers come and go every six months or less because the company fast-tracks people into the role, and some lack experience running a care home.
Unfortunately within the higher department of Runwood, Stafford Hall is being used to fast track into management. We have new managers every 6 months, sometimes even less. Some of the staff that come in for the manager position have no experience running a home.
