Staff training was well-organised, and staff were confident, appreciating the range of training, and how it was delivered. The quality assurance director also provided in-house comprehensive skin care training to meet the different levels of responsibility within the staff group.
Feedback from relatives showed the new manager was valued. For example, '[Name] is excellent, an extremely good manager. She's fantastic… She's an extremely responsive manager. She comes out and talks to me.'
The new manager planned to develop activities further... This led to a 'Living with Purpose' programme, which included people making cards for chosen charities... External performers also visited the home, for example singers and musicians, and trips took place.
