There was a proactive and positive culture of safety... effective systems for reporting, investigating and learning from incidents. Minor gaps in medicines documentation and infection control addressed immediately.

Staff described feeling valued in their roles and highlighted open communication as contributing to a positive and inclusive culture. Staff told us they felt the management team cared about their wellbeing.

Staff completed induction and essential training related to people’s health, safety and welfare. Staff training data confirmed good compliance. Staff were supported through regular appraisals.

People and their relatives told us they felt the service was well managed and felt the management team were visible and approachable. Staff spoke positively about the leaders and opportunities to learn and develop in their role.

People enjoyed taking part in a range of activities, social events and external entertainers including visits from the local church and children from the nursery and schools. Wellbeing and activity staff supported people.
