Medicines were received, stored, administered and disposed of safely. Staff involved in handling medicines had received training around medicines and had been assessed as competent to support people with their medicines.

Staff told us they felt the registered manager and deputy manager listened to their ideas and valued their contribution. Communication within the service were facilitated through staff meetings and day to day engagement between management and care staff.

Staff had completed a range of training relevant to their roles and responsibilities. Training included learning about people's specific needs such as, visual impairment and behaviour management training. Staff were supported to complete qualifications in health and social care.

Staff spoke highly of the registered manager and their leadership, who they said he and the deputy manager were approachable, supportive and listened to them.
