The provider promoted an open and inclusive culture which sought the views of people, their relatives, community-based health and social care professionals and staff. Staff told us they received all the support they needed from the managers.
The managers told us they had recruited a number of new male support workers in the last 12 months, which the provider had actively sought, so the gender balance of the staff team better reflected that of the people living at the care home.
Staff had completed all the training they needed to meet the needs of the people they supported, which included, a comprehensive induction, and additional mental health and dementia care awareness training. Staff told us 'The training I've had since starting has been excellent.'
