Working at Saxlingham Hall Nursing Home

No permanent registered manager in post, with a new team still settling in.

At the time of our inspection a registered manager was not in post.

Staff and residents say there are not always enough staff, with waits for help and some agency cover for gaps.

Feedback from staff and people using the service raised some concerns about staffing levels. Staff told us they felt additional staff on the rotas would be of benefit. People also told us they sometimes had to wait for assistance... some use of agency staff.

Only standard training available, mostly online, with limited checks on skills for care assistants.

Staff told us training was available and met their needs however this had been delivered electronically... assessed competencies for non-nursing staff were much narrower.
