Not enough staff until they recently added an extra worker each day after council concerns.

Prior to the CQC assessment, the local authority had raised concerns following a visit to the home, that there were not enough staff to adequately meet people’s needs.

Only standard refresher training like safeguarding and moving people, no specialist courses or funded qualifications.

The registered manager had reviewed staff training following the local authority visit. We saw refresher training on subjects such as dysphagia, moving and handing, safeguarding and infection control had been completed or scheduled.

Few activities like nail painting and watching sports, so the role is mostly routine care.

relatives felt there could be more engagement... We saw charts for each person that showed a variety of different activities... nail painting activities.
