The provider had a proactive and positive culture of safety, based on openness and honesty. Staff listened to concerns about safety and investigated and reported safety events.

Staff, without exception, spoke positively about the management team at Sackville Gardens. They felt strongly supported in their roles and there was a clear ethos of ensuring staff were well to best assist people living there.

There was a stable and supportive staff team throughout the home, which provided people with good continuity of care and allowed strong relationships to be developed.

The management team were proactive in ensuring staff training remained in line with legislation. They regularly attended additional webinars and training sessions to further develop knowledge within the service.

There was a strong leadership team in place who were consistently praised by staff, people and external professionals. Everyone spoke positively about the registered manager describing them as someone who was approachable and listened well.

The garden was transformed using the ‘Twelve Principles of Permaculture’, a method which encourages sustainable living and has an ecological design. People were fully involved throughout the process.
