We identified an area for concern in relation to record keeping for when medicines were being crushed for people who were having their medicines administered covertly. However, concerns had been addressed.

Staff were positive and felt supported to carry out their roles. One staff member said the provider was “Refreshing to work for.” They told us, “There is no red tape. I can ask for something, and it happens.”

Training compliance rates were high. Staff told us they had completed inductions and had received supervisions. People told us staff appeared well trained, and said they were “impressed” with staff.

The management team were visible and accessible, and staff spoke highly of them. Staff comments included, '[Registered manager]; he's great. If I've got an issue, I will go to him. He resolves things'

There was a varied activities programme in place with a team of full-time activities staff. Activities included gardening club, music club, dancing, tai chi, yoga, animal visits and entertainers.
