People felt safe. Staff completed training to ensure they recognised any potential signs of abuse... medicines were managed safely. Accidents and incidents were recorded and reviewed.
Staff felt valued and supported by the registered manager and the provider. Staff were very proud to work at Rochester Care Home and told us they felt valued.
The registered manager had, over time, built up regular and flexible 'bank staff'. This reduced the need to use agency staff who would not know people well. Staff levels were continuously reviewed and staff had plenty of time to spend with people.
