Working at Riverdale Care Home

People were protected from the risk of abuse and robust safeguarding processes were in place. Incidents and accidents were recorded appropriately and analysed to ensure lessons were learnt. People received their medicines as prescribed and the provider ensured staff were trained and competent to administer medicines.

Staff felt valued and supported and were comfortable raising any concerns. Staff told us they felt valued and supported by management and were proud of what the service had achieved. One member of staff said, 'I'm proud to work here, I love the feel of the place. It's a community, I feel like part of a family.'

The registered manager had clear oversight over the service and was committed to continuously driving improvements in people's care. People, relatives and staff spoke positively about the leadership of the service and the dedication of the registered manager.
