Staff were knowledgeable about people’s individual needs and risks, and how to keep them safe. Systems and processes were in place to assess risks... The administration of medicines was mostly safe but some records around this required improvement.

Staff told us there had been lots of improvements... Staff said they were now well supported and their feedback was sought and acted upon. Staff understood their roles... felt there was positive teamwork and good support.

There were enough staff to meet people’s needs in a timely way. People and relatives said they felt the service was safe and there were enough staff.

A comprehensive training package meant staff knowledge was up to date and in line with good practice and standards. Mandatory training covered key areas such as learning disabilities, autism, fire safety and equality and diversity. Staff received regular supervision.

Staff spoke about improvements at the service, how morale was much better and how much better supported they were by the current management team. The management team were visible, knowledgeable, and supportive.
