We identified some concerns with infection control measures on our first visit, but these had been remedied by our second visit. We found some minor gaps in checks the service had carried out when recruiting staff.
People, relatives and staff told us the management team were supportive and approachable and there was a positive culture within the home. A member of care staff said, “The current manager is going an excellent job and it is, a happy place.”

The registered manager was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about their service. They were very involved in the day to day going’s on in the home and knew every person living there well. Staff were very complimentary about the management and leadership in the service.
A relative said, “They have just started to get activities in. They are not always suitable for everyone.”... Care staff told us that activities were improving now that new activities staff had been recruited.
