Activities are basic like colouring, jigsaws and sing-alongs, with no specialist programmes to make the role more varied.

we saw that people participated in a range of activities, this included doing colouring, doing a jigsaw and having a lively sing song with the recently purchased microphones.

There were systems to provide staff with training, support and the opportunity to achieve qualifications in care. New staff received an induction, including training and shadowing more experienced colleagues.

Staffing is adequate with no waiting for help, but nothing special like a stable long-serving team or low agency use.

We saw that staff were available to support people when they needed assistance. People and relatives told us they felt that there were enough staff.
