People’s care plans and risk assessments did not consistently contain sufficient information to guide staff about the required actions to mitigate potential risks. For example, we found conflicting information regarding one person’s risk of choking.
Staff told us they felt supported by the management team, despite there not being a registered manager in post. Staff were positive about the prospect of a new registered manager and felt it would benefit the home.
The provider had a rota system in place to ensure sufficient staffing levels at Rectory Lodge. However, staff gave us mixed feedback regarding staffing levels. Some staff felt that there could be more staff available to help support people to access the community during the day.
